Good Technology announced increased support for Microsoft customers in the release of Good for Enterprise® (GFE) for Windows Phone 8, a key component of the Good Collaboration Suite. With this announcement, the company delivers on the promise of an even broader, more comprehensive mobile platform strategy, supporting Microsoft Exchange on-premise and cloud-based environments with Exchange Online through Office 365.
“Enterprise and government customers today demand proven, world class security and manageability across a spectrum of devices and platforms,” said Christy Wyatt, chief executive officer of Good Technology. “As the leader in secure mobility, we are excited to support our customers in embracing this innovative platform, and a broad range of new devices, into their existing Good-managed environment without compromise.”
With Good for Enterprise for Windows Phone 8, business users have an integrated application that facilitates seamless and secure access to corporate email, documents, contacts, calendar, tasks and the Intranet. This builds on the existing enterprise features readily available in Windows Phone 8, including the latest mobile versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, and an Office Hub that provides one-stop access to documents received as email attachments or stored on SharePoint, SkyDrive or Office 365.
“Windows Phone 8 and Office 365 deliver the productivity and manageability that organisations need, as well as the features and personalisation that employees want from a mobile device,” said Todd Brix, general manager, Windows Phone Apps, Microsoft Corp. “Good Technology’s support for Windows Phone 8 and Office 365 strengthens the mobile capabilities of businesses large and small, integrating with existing infrastructure to allow professionals to securely stay connected from virtually anywhere.”
