VeliQ, together with the Dutch telecom operator KPN introduces a new freemium Mobile Device (MDM) solution for all enterprise customer called: Mobile Device Manager Start. This offer includes a number of free MDM features for each KPN smartphone data subscription. Mobile Device Manager Start also includes an Enterprise Content Store. If customers require additional options they can upgrade online to the paid version Mobile Device Manager Pro. This includes all available features VeliQ has to offer, including distributing apps to mobile devices. Both the Start and the Pro version are based on VeliQ’s mobility Platform-as-a-Service (mPaaSTM). The fact that business customers of KPN are introduced to MDM free of charge and able to upgrade to all available features at low monthly costs, is unique it the world of enterprise managed mobility.

KPN regards the cooperation with VeliQ, as the key to providing increased value by offering easy access to relevant mobility services. Partly because of the BYOD trend, smartphones and tablets are increasing used for business purposes. As a result many of KPN’s customers are faced with challenges regarding management and security. They are looking for a flexible solution to solve these issues while maintaining scalability. Alex Bausch, CEO and founder of VeliQ, is also convinced that KPN has made the right decision: “MDM seems so obvious now, but never before has this service been so simple and easily accessible. We clearly see that with their freemium strategy, KPN leads the way in the world of telecommunications. VeliQ now joins them in this new direction.”
