Friday Review: You'll grow into it

Huawei leaves room for expansion at its new UK HQ, while the Sprint-Softbank-Dish-Clearwire web gets increasingly tangled.

We've all been there. Standing reluctantly in front of the mirror as a child with spindly arms and/or legs poking out of a garment several sizes too big that your mum insists you will "grow into". In the worst case scenario maybe Great Aunt Vera knitted it for you – the horror. In my case I was about five years old and the offending item of clothing was a supposedly knee-length school skirt that actually reached to about two inches above my ankles. Had I tripped over the hem and injured myself I'm sure it would have been less painful than the hoots of derision from the older kids in the playground. The emotional scars run deep... That particular memory came flooding back to me on Tuesday at a drinks reception at London's Whitehall hosted by Huawei to celebrate the opening of its new U…
