Latin Talk selects Digitalk to support international voice ops

DIGITALK, a trusted vendor of Carrier, Consumer and Mobile solutions to retail and wholesale communications service providers worldwide, announced today at International Telecoms Week (ITW) 2013 that Latin Talk, a US-based international VoIP provider, has selected its DIGITALK Carrier Cloud and Consumer Cloud platforms to support its international voice business connecting the US to destinations in Latin America, particularly Mexico.

DIGITALK Consumer Cloud allows Latin Talk to offer its customers prepaid calling card and PINless calling services. DIGITALK Carrier Cloud will be used for the termination of retail traffic from DIGITALK Consumer Cloud as well as wholesale traffic between carriers. In adopting both cloud-based solutions Latin Talk will be able to rapidly scale their business to meet increased demand as well as leveraging a "pay-per-use" model.

Carrier Cloud has built-in management and reporting facilities in a single solution with optimised carrier routing necessary to maximise margins and quality so service providers can compete effectively on both value and quality.

Consumer Cloud offers a prepaid calling card solution that can provide a fast track to market, with the capabilities to differentiate products for niche markets and rapid revenue generation. It also supports PINless calling services, allowing users to register their fixed or mobile phone number and top-up their balance so that they can make prepaid calls without having to dial a PIN.
