Down to a dozen: Myanmar refines telco licence shortlist

China Telecom among big names cut from Myanmar shortlist, but Vodafone/China Mobile, France Telecom and Bharti Airtel make the grade; licences will be awarded by 27 June.

Myanmar has announced the names of the remaining 12 parties in its telecoms licence contest, two of which will receive permits to operate nationwide services in the country by 27 June.
