(Not quite) Friday Review: Short and sweet

Ahead of the bank holiday weekend we look at the week's news highlights and the top stories of the year so far.

Once again Easter is upon us, which for many of us means two short weeks in a row with a long weekend of eating chocolate eggs in the middle. As such, your usual Friday Review is a day early. So, before we take a well-earned four-day break, here are the news highlights from the past four days. The biggest story this week was the latest rumour that Vodafone plans to sell its 45% stake in Verizon Wireless. Last weekend the Sunday Times reported that Voda could broker a deal worth $135 billion following a series of talks with its U.S. partner. We will likely see many reports like this over the coming months though; I'm sticking to my view that this one will run for some time before it reaches a resolution…
