Level 3 Communications, Inc. today announced it has entered into an agreement with online retailer Dafiti, one of the largest fashion e-commerce companies in Brazil, to provide hosting and infrastructure services. Under the agreement, Level 3 also provides Internet access and data redundancy via its Premier Elite data centers in Brazil.

Dafiti’s online retail business has reached 50 million monthly visits and 25 million unique visitors shopping for clothes, shoes and accessories, as well as beauty and home products.

“It is essential that our customers have positive experiences, such as a safe, fast and easy-to-navigate site, supporting a large number of visits,” explained Rodrigo Rodrigues, CIO at Dafiti. “This is the recipe to generate sales growth, and Level 3 services are necessary to support and guarantee the high availability of our online store.”

“We are committed to providing advanced services and technologies for e-commerce portals in Brazil and in the world, contributing to the betterment of a market that has grown considerably, and improving the consumer experience,” said Marcos Malfatti, senior sales vice-president at Level 3 Brazil. “We are pleased to support an e-commerce leader such as Dafiti.”

After the completion of the project, Dafiti will count on Level 3 technology to support its web presence through data centers throughout Brazil, with customers’ traffic automatically forwarded to a site with optimal performance at that moment, and helping increase even further Dafiti’s sales performance and availability.

In Brazil, Level 3 provides managed services through its data center facilities in Cotia, Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro.
