For an alternative review of 2012, we look at some of the most read stories on Total Telecom in the past 12 months.
With just over a week to go before Christmas (and just under a week until the end of the world for anyone with an ancient Mayan calendar hanging on their wall), it seemed an appropriate time to look back at the key events in telecoms this year. We're busy putting the finishing touches to a glitzy and glamorous review of 2012 – which will be available for your delectation next week – but to keep you going until then we also decided to take a look at what were the most read stories on Total Telecom this year.
Sometimes the thing that interests our readers the most is not what happens, but what might happen, as evidenced by the most read story in 2012, in which Ericsson CFO Jan Frykhammar discussed the possibility of the Swedish vendor acquiring assets from Nokia Siemens Networks.
