BT trials 10 Gig broadband with business customer

U.K. telco aims to 'future proof' with hyper-fast broadband; service uses ZTE-developed XGPON technology.

BT is providing a trial 10-Gbps broadband service to a business customer in Cornwall using XGPON technology, it announced on Friday. Engineering firm Arcol UK has a direct fibre connection to BT's local exchange. According to BT it has more bandwidth available to it than was used at the highest peak for the entire Olympics media network…
