(NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading cloud platform for delivering secure, high-performing user experiences to any device. This partnership will enable Olympusat Telecom to provide their customers with the most reliable and robust video and multimedia experience for their end users on any device. KIT digital’s KIT Cloud Solution and Akamai’s Sola Media Solutions enable the economic online distribution of content to the broadest possible array of devices delivering rich, high-definition quality video to broadcast-scale audiences.

Through this partnership Olympusat Telecom will offer their video, television and rich media centric customers the scalability, reliability and security needed in today’s hyper-connected world in addition to reducing costs by eliminating investment and maintenance on infrastructure.

Under the terms of the agreement Olympusat Telecom will offer four new core services that will complement its strategic business units (television networks, distribution, video transport, digital production and telecom businesses):

• Content Delivery Network (CDN) – Akamai’s cloud-based content delivery network that will enable Olympusat Telecom to push streaming video content out to the edges of their network, for a much faster, richer and better experience for their customers utilizing KIT digital’s easy to use interface.
• Enhanced Storage Capabilities – Olympusat Telecom will be able to store video and media files for their customers using KIT digital’s storage vault offering, which will enable customers to upload various forms of media without needing internal infrastructure.
• Video Transcoding – Olympusat Telecom will enable their customers to transcode video into different bit rates and formats using a multi-platform approach and reaching all devices.
• Digital Media Player – Olympusat Telecom customers will be able to easily publish online video, mobile video, and social video in real-time and reach audiences anywhere and everywhere in concert with their online branding strategy.

KIT Cloud and KIT Cosmos give media and entertainment companies, network operators, and non-media enterprises a comprehensive and highly flexible platform solution to produce, manage and deliver live and on-demand, socially-enabled broadband TV deployments. The KIT Cosmos platform powers Olympusat’s offering, making the service feasible and efficient through a single KIT digital content and asset management backend.
