OneAccess, a global market leader in multi-service access routers and Carrier Ethernet access devices, is pleased to announce the placing of a first order from ipvision A/S, a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) in Denmark, for Ethernet Access Devices in support of the company’s L2/3 Managed VPN service.
An initial shipment has been delivered to service a new contract which ipvision has signed with a key Danish municipality. ipvision had a requirement for a L2/L3 converged CPE platform that would allow the company to offer managed hosted services more efficiently and cost-effectively to enterprise customers.
Speaking about the deal, Allan Bartroff, Technical Director ipvision said, “We were looking for a powerful L2 and L3 routing device at a competitive price. Through the OneAccess solution – which was recommended by DGC, a partner of ipvision - we have been able to cost effectively streamline our network infrastructure.
“OneAccess delivered outstanding flexibility, including customised pre-configuration, which makes the solution truly plug-and-play. As we work to tight margins, it is imperative to ensure that our infrastructure is efficient in terms of installation and ongoing costs. This was the key benefit which helped to convince us to convert to OneAccess.”
The project was closed in just three months from initial contact through to completion, as Bertrand Meis, CEO at OneAccess explains, “There was a need for the service to be in place by 1st October. ipvision was instantly impressed with our technical support and the responsiveness of the team during the in-depth testing of the product, and the speed with which we were able to provide a CLI modification. Our solution offered clear benefits over the company’s previous solutions, which were a more complicated two-box set up, and a more expensive one-box integrated system. This very tight turnaround is testament to our ability to listen and respond to customer requirements, and to deliver a cost effective and efficient solution.”
Founded in 2005, ipvision revenue is growing at about 50% a year. DGC – a partner company to ipvision - is OneAccess’ biggest customer in the Sweden and Nordic region.
