Business as usual for Huawei, ZTE despite US concerns

Chinese companies' inability to overcome security concerns has not hindered their rise to global prominence.

The security scare engulfing Huawei and ZTE in the U.S. this week is unlikely to have any significant impact on the fortunes of China's two biggest network vendors. This was the assertion made by research firm IHS on Tuesday, after a year-long investigation by the U.S. government's House Intelligence Committee concluded on Monday that both companies pose a national security threat.
