In a move to further strengthen its management team, tier one mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE) Sisteer (www.sisteer.com) today announces the appointment of Laurent Grimaldi as a partner and advisor to the board.

Grimaldi brings vast telecoms and network investment expertise to Sisteer. Under the umbrella of his C-Consulting advisory business, Grimaldi has undertaken missions for several global businesses including telecoms leaders ZTE, TDF and Eutelsat. He also co-founded the Open 3G Project to compete with Free for the 4G mobile license in France.

Other significant milestones in his distinguished career include senior management positions with Tiscali International Network, broadband provider NETS (acquired by Tiscali), Ville de Paris and Schumberger.

Grimaldi’s new role will be to advise the Sisteer board on future investments and operations in high-growth mobile countries.

“Clearly, I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with such an ambitious mobile business enabler as Sisteer and to play my part in ensuring the company’s further internationalisation,” says Grimaldi. “Sisteer brings to market a remarkable set of products and expertise in the mobile space and we see these having widespread application in counties with high-growth mobile populations.”

Alain Bureau, CEO of Sisteer, adds: “Laurent Grimaldi brings a remarkable set of skills, contacts and telecom experience to Sisteer. His proven technical and business acumen will undoubtedly assist us in opening up new markets and to building the Sisteer brand on a global scale."
