SYNETY, the cloud telephony software and services specialist, has announced its plans to use a reverse takeover of AIM-listed company Zenergy Power to drive growth and international expansion.

Zenergy Power today acquired SYNETY on a conditional basis, subject to Zenergy shareholder approval; the completed deal will see the company changing its name to SYNETY Group plc.

SYNETY’s core technology is called CloudCall®, which gives organisations a software integrated, hosted communications service that can be set up in under 30 minutes for £10 per user, per month. It works inside customer’s existing Email and CRM software, and uses their existing phone system so there is no additional hardware to purchase, install or maintain, and no additional maintenance or support costs.

CloudCall Click can also record every call made by users, and exposes those call recordings inside the contact records of the CRM or sales systems – enabling voice calls to archived and searched just as easily as emails or documents. This gives a more complete picture of customer interactions and enhances staff efficiency across customer-facing businesses. These features can be customised using the CloudCall API as an add-on to customers’ existing custom software and telephony on a per-user, per-month basis with no upfront costs.

SYNETY CEO Mark Seemann said: “There’s a tremendous appetite for our solutions because companies can now use their existing software to make calls and replay customer conversations improving productivity and reducing costs. Customers can also use CloudCall to add advanced features or extra call capacity, on-demand, without capital investment. SYNETY is on a drive to integrate with other CRM systems around the world. This move will help us to quickly grow and meet the demand for our solutions, and will support our drive into international markets.”

Zenergy executive chairman Simon Cleaver said: "We are delighted today to be able to announce the proposed acquisition of a leading-edge technology company which operates in a software segment with proven growth characteristics. The vast majority of CRM providers have inbuilt functionality to send, receive and record e-mail activity, but only a very limited number have similar functionality when it comes to telephone communication, which is where we see the potential in Synety."

SYNETY directors Mark Seeman and Graham Ward will join the board of Zenergy as chief executive and non-executive director respectively. Since launching in September 2011, SYNETY has grown to 20 staff, with nearly 100 customers, and is about to open an office in California to support its expansion in the US
