ViaWest, one of the largest privately held data center, cloud computing and managed service providers in North America, celebrates the one-year anniversary of its Synergy Park data center in Richardson, Texas. The 85,000 square foot facility offers high density power configurations, high capacity network access, disaster recovery office space, and the latest in efficient cooling technologies.

“We’re thrilled to have attracted so many diverse customers to Synergy Park this past year,” states John Greenwood, Regional Vice President of Sales and General Manager for ViaWest. “Our unique, high-touch customer support model combined with our hybrid solution approach drive our success. Clients, no matter the size, can mix and match services to suit their needs.”

The Synergy Park data center is home to numerous industry verticals such as financial services, manufacturing and transportation. Other verticals represented include healthcare services (HMS); high technology (Biometric Signature ID and Zulahoo) and higher education (UT Dallas).

ViaWest’s service offerings at Synergy Park include colocation, cloud computing and managed services. Over the last year, the company also launched a Network Attached Storage (NAS) product as part of its KINECTed Storage line in cooperation with NetApp, and 3PAR Storage Area Network (SAN) services. In addition, ViaWest added multiple telecommunications carriers into the site and three redundant 10-Gigabit pathways to ViaWest’s Stemmons Freeway data centers in Dallas.

“We’ve had to accelerate our expansion plans due to the amount of demand for our services in the Dallas region,” confirms Roy Dimoff, Chairman and CEO of ViaWest. “Phase Three of our Synergy Park build-out will enhance site resiliency through increased power and cooling capacities. We are pleased to see such strong demand for our services and look forward to serving more of the region’s thriving companies.”
