Everything Everywhere to roll out LTE this year after Ofcom green light

U.K. operator cleared to use 1800-MHz spectrum for LTE from 11 September; U.K. could have two LTE networks by Christmas.

Everything Everywhere on Tuesday indicated that it will launch LTE services in the U.K. this year after regulator Ofcom approved its application to use its existing 1800-MHz spectrum for the roll out. "4G will drive investment, employment and innovation and we look forward to making it available later this year, delivering superfast mobile broadband to the U.K.," the mobile operator said in a statement. It has not, as yet, shared any more detailed rollout plans…
