A war is underway - a battle for consumers' attention on the mobile handset while on-the-go. The recent explosion in both paid and free mobile apps has led to consumers being pushed a seemingly endless supply of services designed to cater to their every whim. But often daily activities flip between work and pleasure, representing totally different needs, and a different state-of-mind when at home, at the office or out on the street. All of these scenarios require opening and closing different apps, which can be tiresome. User experience can be significantly improved if users are spared this effort while outside of the home.
