Istanbul, 15th April 2010 – AirTies, the innovative wireless networking vendor, today announced the appointment of Jim Lomax as its new Executive VP of Sales and Marketing. Joining from Advanced Digital Broadcast, Jim is a senior Sales and Marketing executive with 15 years experience in the Consumer Electronics market delivering solutions to the worldwide digital television industry, the last 10 of which have been spent in management positions, predominantly working for companies such as Grundig and Pace Micro Technology.

In his new position, Jim will be responsible for building the company’s sales and market share. Following positions at Advanced Digital Broadcast and Grundig, where he took on the position of Sales and Marketing Director EMEA, he managed the smooth integration of the Grundig division into the Global Thomson organisation. Jim was also a key player in the UK launch of Digital Terrestrial Television, helping to secure a 50% market share for two years whilst working alongside the major retail chains. As part of the Executive Management Team at Advanced Digital Broadcast, Jim was also directly involved in developing and implementing the future strategy of the business, and restructuring the Sales and Marketing organisation in his role as Executive VP, Worldwide Sales and Marketing.

Jim comments: “I’m delighted to be joining AirTies at an exciting time for the company and to be part of their on-going strategy moving forwards. As consumers look for more innovative ways to quickly set up and securely provision wireless home networks, more and more are turning to those specialist companies, such as AirTies, who are able to offer solutions and devices which meet their criteria of simple deployment and minimal external expertise. Working with a dedicated and passionate team, I’m looking forward to building on AirTies success and further increasing their dominance in the EMEA market.”

Bulent Celebi, AirTies CEO, added: “I’m happy to welcome Jim to our team and believe that he will be instrumental in helping us to fulfil our future business objectives. Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the sale and marketing of home networking, wireless connectivity solutions and his superb track record means that we are well positioned to build on our success.”
