Nokia Networks announced that Dimitri Diliani has been appointed to the post of vice president of Latin America with immediate effect.
Diliani, who replaces Almir Narcizo, will be based in São Paulo in Brazil. The Finland-based equipment manufacturer did not give a reason for Narcizo’s departure, commenting only that he will seek new opportunities outside of Nokia after a transition period.
The vendor described Diliani as a seasoned and experienced leader with a solid track record within Nokia and the communications industry, including posts heading the Africa region and T-Mobile account in the U.S. He joined Nokia from Lucent Technologies in 2005.
