What do you get when you combine a ballroom full of Asia's top telecoms operators and equipment makers with a seven-course Chinese banquet, a well-known local comedian and gameshow host complete with dancers, and a high-energy drumming combo?

The 2014 Asia Communication Awards gala dinner, of course!

The industry's brightest stars gathered in Singapore on Thursday night for the fourth annual ACA presentation. In between the endless bowls of food and top-end entertainment, 11 companies picked up trophies in 16 categories designed to showcase their achievements over the past 12 months.

The big winner on the night was without doubt NTT Communications, which walked away with four awards including two of the most coveted: Operator of the Year and CEO of the Year. SingTel and Smart Communications also performed particularly well, each taking home two prizes.

A number of new entrants to the ACA also triumphed this year. Indonesia's PT Telkom, Bangladeshi network operator Summit Communications, and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of Bahrain were called upon to make winner's speeches during the course of the evening.

ACA regulars Globe Telecom, StarHub, Pacnet and Roshan all won awards as well.

And China's Huawei picked up the Vendor of the Year trophy for the fourth year running.

To all those who attended the awards dinner, we hope you enjoyed the evening and we look forward to welcoming you to the Asia Communication Awards 2015, which will be bigger and glitzier than ever before. Stay tuned for more details of that one.

For anyone who didn't make it to the event this time around, we strongly suggest you join us next year.

In the words of one happy attendee:

"Definitely the best awards do I have ever been to. It had everything!"
