Taiwan-based handset manufacturer Foxconn plans to buy a €284 million stake in local 4G operator Asia Pacific Telecom (APT) with a view to merging it with its own 4G subsidiary Ambit Microsystems.

Digitimes reported on Monday that Foxconn will buy 582.9 million APT shares for $20 Taiwan dollars (€0.49) per share.APT
