BT mends broken hearts with new security push

U.K. operator moves security ops to Global Services, unveils Heartbleed fix and holds talks with connected car makers.

The security space is becoming increasingly important to telecoms operators and BT is no exception. Amongst other things, the U.K. incumbent has shifted its security ops into its Global Services arm to act as a growth driver for that business, introduced a new product to help customers deal with the threat from the Heartbleed bug, and is working on plans to address potential security threats in the connected car market…
