Ofcom hails end of mid-contract price hikes

U.K. customers allowed to cancel contracts without penalty if service providers increase fees.

New rules came into effect on Thursday giving U.K. consumer and business customers the option to cancel their landline, broadband or mobile service without incurring early termination fees in the event their service provider increases their monthly charges during the lifetime of the contract…
