The Canadian government said Thursday it will kick off auctions for 700-megahertz of wireless spectrum--key for operating the generation of LTE, or long-term evolution, high speed networks--on Nov. 19.
Based on opening bid prices, the government estimates it will raise 897.3 million Canadian dollars ($870 million) from the spectrum auction.
