U.K. telecommunications operator BT Group PLC said Thursday that it will hire an additional 1,000 engineers to help with the rollout of its GBP2.5 billion fiber broadband network.
The new jobs, of which 400 will be apprenticeships and 200 reserved for armed forces personnel, are being created at BT's Openreach unit,
