MetroPCS's Q4 net drops 65% on higher expenses, subscriber loss

MetroPCS Communications Inc.'s fourth-quarter earnings plunged 65%, as the prepaid wireless-service provider recorded higher expenses, outweighing a rise in revenue, while it reported a net subscriber loss.

MetroPCS has seen stronger revenue in recent quarters as launching a 4G network and offering smartphones helped to attract new customers. But its bottom-line
