Moody's Investors Service has placed its ratings on Windstream Corp. on review for a possible downgrade, pointing to the rural-telecommunications company's lack of progress in reducing leverage and its decision to continue its dividend at the current rate.
Moody's currently rates Windstream at Ba2, two notches into junk territory.
