Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its ratings on Comcast Corp. by one notch Thursday, after the media giant this week agreed to buy General Electric Co.'s remaining stake in the NBCUniversal joint venture.
The ratings firm now assigns Comcast the rating of A-, four steps into investment-grade territory, from triple-B-plus.
