Cablevision Systems Corp. is nearing a deal to sell Optimum West, a regional cable provider, to Charter Communications Inc., Bloomberg News reported Thursday on its website, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
Cablevision acquired the business, then known as Bresnan Broadcasting Holdings LLC, in 2010, for $1.37 billion.
