Ciena widens Q4 loss on higher costs

Ciena Corp.'s fiscal fourth-quarter loss widened as the networking-equipment company's higher operating expenses masked sales growth.

For the current quarter, the company forecast revenue of $435 million to $460 million, compared with recent estimates of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters of $459 million.
