French media conglomerate Vivendi SA is in talks to merge its mobile unit SFR with French cable provider Numericable, French weekly paper the Journal du Dimanche reports Sunday citing sources familiar with the matter.
Such a tie-up would generate around 1 billion euros ($1.3 billion) of cost savings, the paper reports,
