Microsoft Corp. said it reached a licensing deal with Research In Motion Ltd., giving the struggling smartphone maker broad access to Microsoft technology that eases the transfer of larger files between personal computers and other devices.
The agreement covers the use of extended file allocation table--or exFAT--technology for certain BlackBerry devices.
