Huawei and IBM Global Business Services on Monday announced a partnership to provide cloud mobility services to enterprises in China.
″We are joining forces to create a smart mobile office solution,″ said Wan Biao, CEO of Huawei Device, presenting the Smart Workspace@Mobile solution at Mobile World Congress 2012.
″The solution will help enterprises customise their mobile office platform on tablets and smartphones,″ he said. The service integrates with enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and supply chain and inventory management systems, he explained.
Huawei brings its expertise on the devices side to the partnership, while IBM Global Business Services provides business consulting.
Smart Workspace@Mobile is already in deployment in China.
″We are running now in beta test. We have customers now in China,″ in the retail, consumer distribution and energy spaces, said Frederic Fleurance, global sales and solutions director at Huawei Device.
The solution will be extended to other segments of Chinese industry going forward, including banking, insurance and telecommunications.
