Indian telecommunications service operator Idea Cellular Ltd. said Monday consolidated second quarter net profit rose 53%, driven by subscriber growth and lower losses from recent launches in new service areas.
Net profit for the July-September period rose to INR2.20 billion from INR1.44 billion a year earlier.
Gross revenue rose 29% to INR29.74
