Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute signed a letter of intent with Datang Telecom Technology Co. to set up a test network for China's TD-SCDMA technology, the Commercial Times reported Friday, citing ITRI President Johnsee Lee.
TD-SCDMA, or Time Division Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access, is China's homegrown third-generation telecommunications standard.
