Asia's Bridge Mobile Alliance launches services, adds HK CSL

Hong Kong's CSL joins alliance; new roaming services launched.

Bridge Mobile Alliance (BMA), the regional pact originally set up by seven Asian mobile operators last November, officially launched operations with great fanfare in Singapore on Monday, announcing a new service portfolio and the addition of a further partner. Hong Kong CSL, one of six mobile operators in the special administrative region and a 100%-owned subsidiary of Australian incumbent Telstra, became the eighth member of the BMA in April this year, it was announced. CSL has therefore become the second operator after Malaysia's Maxis to defect from rival mobile alliance, the Asia Mobility Initiative (AMI)…
